SOLID 3D’s Position Marking Robot (PMR) allows Automated Robotic Solution to autonomously print/paste the Barcode/Data matrix on the warehouse floor at the customer site. The customer AGV uses barcodes to navigate inside the warehouse.
CHALLENGE
Our customer business is expanding with warehouses around the world looking to transition to automatic fulfillment centers requiring AGVs to speed up the fullfilment process.
This requires thousands or in some cases tens of thousands of barcodes to be pasted with high accuracy for the AGVs to operate.
Current process require manual alignment and human operators to print and paste the barcodes. Less accurate and time consuming.
SOLUTION
The new PMR operates autonomously and ensures high accuracy and quality control with the use of a newly developed vision system. The Vision system uses Solid 3D’s DVI software solution in combination with high-definition camera and lighting system.
